WATAN is a Belgium-based initiative focused on community building and empowerment. It helps people with immigration backgrounds build confidence, integrate successfully, and contribute positively to society.
The word “WATAN” means “homeland” in Arabic, representing the idea of belonging and connection. It reflects our belief that with the right support, every person can rebuild their sense of home wherever they are.
It is built on a foundational idea: a supportive community can turn an unfamiliar place into a home. Through practical career development support, creative workshops, and networking activities, WATAN helps participants develop skills, regain confidence, and feel part of an inclusive and encouraging community.
